Discussion

This small, rectangular spit was excavated to establish the relationship between a number of intersecting enclosures (east-west aligned ditches 012AD07050, 012AD07210 and 012AD07212, and NW-SE aligned ditch 012AD07221). The material removed was a sandy clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 3/3). No daub or charcoal flcking were noted.
